A new ACEO in pretty pastel shades...

I decided to work in some pretty, pale pastel shades for my latest ACEO; I love the result - and I adore the little shooting star!

I also finished a bright alpine scene; brings back memories of a great holiday my husband and I recently enjoyed in Austria :o)

New 'Night-time' ACEOs, and a minature 1 inch painting too!

Following the success of my pretty 'Night-time' ACEOs, I have been busy in the studio creating some new pictures around this theme:

In a little experiment, I have also created a tiny 1 inch painting! It is so tiny, and just soooo cute!

Finally, I have also been working with my favourite bright sunshine colours in a new balloon ACEO painting:

'Evening Time' - a new ACEO from Fairweather Designs

Here is the latest piece that I have been working on in my studio; it's called 'Evening Time':

Cat ACEO, and the stars are back!

I love cats, so enjoy including them into my work where I can.

This second piece is another inspired by the English countryside and the beautiful, grand mansion houses that dot the landscape. The mansion in this ACEO is loosely based on Claydon House in Buckinghamshire.

Inspirations for my ACEOs!

I thought it was about time I showed you the inspiration for some of my recent ACEOs: the English countryside. I took these photos whilst out for a wonderful walk with my husband over the weekend; the sun made the landscape look beautiful:
The strange ripples on the grass in the foreground are actually marks made by a ploughing technique that was used during the medieval period; it's called 'ridge and furrow.'

These sheep were very friendly, and popped over to pose for the camera!

English Villages... some new ACEOs

I have been working on some new ACEOs over the last few days. I adore this first piece with its rolling hills:
I also enjoyed experimenting with colour again in this next piece; I love the little stars, and am so glad to have the opportunity to paint them again in my work!

'Spring Time' ACEO

I love the colours in my latest ACEO. The bright greens in the grass have worked well, especially against the dark red flowers in the front of the painting. Yes, overall I am particularly pleased with this piece :o)
