I have just a final few paintings in the "Bethlehem Collection" still available to purchase. It's quite sad really, as I have loved the opportunity to paint using such bright contrasting colours; I must think of some other similar ideas for my return to the studio in January... Any ideas...?I have advertised these final two paintings on Ebay, and bidding ends today!

I have just created a new Bethlehem ACEO combining many of my earlier ideas in a full Nativity scene. This is definitely my favourite so far...

Christmas ACEO art with Textiles!
In today's ACEO offering I decided enhance my watercolour painting by using an element of my my new interest: textiles. Here is the resulting image, with stars sewn into the card using a beautiful golden thread:
The stars look fantastic, espeically when they catch the light - they really bring the whole image to life! I'm so pleased with this piece, and I will be advertising it on Ebay later tonight...

New creations
I'm really excited, as I have some new "Bethlehem" creations for sale on Ebay this week! :o)
The first is called "Bethlehem Sheep," and I simply adore this picture; I love sheep as they remind me of some very happy childhood holidays in North Devon, England - there were always so many sheep up on the hills!
I'm really pleased with the way in which this has turned out - so bright and cheerful at a time when the nights seem to be drawing in so fast here now.
The second image is called "Angel of Bethlehem." It's another really cheery piece, and yet at the same time very 'girly' because of the angel in her long pink gown, with feathery wings. Very pretty!
Anyway, that's all for today. I do hope that you like my new offerings...!

Christmas Cards!
The Bethlehem theme has been great, so I have decided to try out some Christmas cards using this design, as well as a snow scene, which I created using a similar design for the little buildings.

New watercolour ACEOs - The "Bethlehem" series
Hello!
In my studio this past week I've already begun to feel somewhat Christmassy...!
This time I have returned to watercolours, working on two new themed ACEOs: two vibrantly coloured pieces in my "Bethlehem" series, which was popular with so many people last year. I've really enjoyed creating these pieces, and loved just playing around with some ideas and juxtapositions of such fun colours! I particularly love the little stars, which add great texture to these pieces.
Both ACEOs are available for sale on e-bay until 4th November...! Take a peek at all my Ebay items - I'm registered on Ebay as "Fairweather-designs."
